do i need to see transformers 2 before i see the new one?

my boyfriend wants to see it tomorrow, but i havent seen the second
one
its recorded on my tv but i dont feel like watching it tonight lol so
if i read about it online then will i be okay?..i just hate getting
confused during them :/
